Clear Aligners in Dubai

Custom, virtually invisible aligners planned and reviewed in-clinic by a specialist orthodontist, no metal brackets, no wires, and no visible sign you’re straightening your teeth.

Clear aligners are a series of custom, transparent plastic trays that gradually move your teeth into place. Most adult patients complete treatment in 6–18 months, wear each tray 20–22 hours a day, and are reviewed in-clinic every 6–8 weeks

Clear aligners in Dubai — FAQ

Clear aligners are a series of custom-made, transparent plastic trays that gradually move your teeth into their correct position. Each set is worn for one to two weeks before you switch to the next in the series, with no metal brackets or wires involved.

Clear aligners work well for most mild-to-moderate cases of crowding, spacing and bite misalignment, and for teens and adults who want a discreet option. More complex bite problems can sometimes still be treated with aligners, but may need traditional braces or a combination approach — a clinical assessment confirms what's realistic for your teeth.

Most adult cases take roughly 6 to 18 months, and more complex cases can run up to around 24 months. Your exact timeline depends on how much movement your teeth need and how consistently you wear your aligners.

For treatment to stay on schedule, aligners need to be worn 20 to 22 hours a day, removed only for eating, drinking anything other than water, and brushing or flossing. Wearing them less than this is the most common reason treatment runs longer than planned.

For mild-to-moderate crowding, spacing and bite issues, clear aligners can achieve comparable results to braces. Severe or complex cases involving significant bite correction or tooth rotation are sometimes better suited to traditional braces, which is why treatment planning starts with a full clinical exam rather than a generic recommendation.

Most patients find clear aligners more comfortable day-to-day than metal braces, since there are no brackets or wires to irritate the cheeks and lips. You may feel mild pressure for a day or two after switching to a new tray — this is a normal sign the aligner is working, and it settles quickly.

Yes. Because the aligners are removable, there are no food restrictions — you take them out to eat, drink anything other than water, and brush your teeth, then reinsert them afterwards. This is one of the main practical advantages over fixed braces, where certain foods have to be avoided for the whole treatment.

Dr. Mahfouz first builds your personalized treatment plan from your scan and exam, and your cost is calculated directly from that plan — how many aligners it needs, how complex your case is, and how long treatment runs — so we don't publish a single figure. You get one fixed, all-inclusive quote before you commit, and monthly payment plans.

Yes — this applies whether you straighten your teeth with aligners or braces. Teeth naturally drift back toward their original position after any orthodontic treatment, so you'll be fitted with a retainer at the end of your aligner series and given a wear schedule to lock in your result.
